VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician Trainer Coordinator in West Hartford, Connecticut

VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking a talented Credentialed Veterinary Technician Training Coordinator to join our team full time.

Vet Specs of CT is seeking a CVT, LVT, RVT Veterinary Technician to join the growing care team at our 24-7 hybrid & specialty referral hospital in West Hartford, CT. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement onboarding and technician development training materials

  • Identify training deficiencies and work to remedy those areas through additional hands-on training, discussion or reference materials

  • Develop training materials to encompass a multi-modal approach including video, written materials, quizzes and hands on assessments

  • Develop and coordinate skills wet lab for basic technical procedures

  • Work with technician supervisor to make recommendations for scheduling training, identify appropriate student/teacher pairs and evaluate employees comfort level as trainers

  • Identify problems areas in the training workflow and notify management that policy and/or procedural changes may be indicated.

Potential Schedule: Full-time (Four 10 hr shifts, rotating days and shifts (you can create your schedule)

Compensation: $25 - 35 based on skill set, experience, and licensure status
