VCA Animal Hospitals Veterinary Technician General Practice Supervisor in West Hartford, Connecticut

VCA Veterinary Specialist of CT is seeking a full time General Practice Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join the team at our 24-7 general, emergency and specialty hospital in West Hartford, CT. We have a unique culture in our hospital that values each person’s individual skill and personality. Compensation : $25 – $30 / hour based on skill set, 5 years of experience, and licensure status (CVT, LVT, VTS)

Potential Schedule : Full time, holiday rotation, flexible schedule

Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Full Technician Skill Utilization

  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services

  • Coaching associates based on need to aid in their success

  • Some regional travel required

  • Facilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards and performance

  • Provide feedback related to associate performance, and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plans

  • Support associates in their career via VTNE guidance, licensure guidance, and scheduling

  • Maintain skill efficiency and knowledge
