• Responsible for ensuring appropriate maintenance of buildings at all UK sites. Liaises with property landlords as required.

• Oversees Health and Safety compliance for all sites and all staff.

• Develops appropriate H&S policies with input from Leadership Team and external agencies where required.

• Oversee and manage logistics operations, including warehousing, inventory management and distribution.

• Staff line management for two direct reports in the warehouse: assigns work, monitors activities, evaluates performance and promotes staff development.

• Responsible for managing the following at our Hub Lab; third party waste contracts, including clinical waste, cleaning and laundry contracts, security access system, the facility temperature monitoring system.

• Coordinates with internal personnel, suppliers and others as needed to resolve issues and maintain ongoing functionality. Communicates procedural changes appropriately

• Participates in various related committees and project teams as needed.

• Prepares reports, presentations and other information summarising work activities.

• Prepares various analyses as needed to highlight issues and resolve questions.


• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

• Proven experience managing a relevant facility – laboratory or warehouse/distribution facility

• Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and compliance

• Ability to organise, prioritise and direct work activities.

• Reasoning and analytical skills to resolve issues; good decision making under pressure

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

• Independent and self-directed; minimal day to day requirement for supervision

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

• Resilient with a can-do attitude; flexibility to ensure work commitments are met

• Collaborative cross-functional attitude

• Personal computer skills, including strong typing ability and proficient use of Microsoft Office products
