VCA Animal Hospitals Licensed Veterinary Technician in Silverdale, Washington
The Emergency & Urgent Care service at VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital is expanding and we are looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Our Emergency and Urgent Care Service:
Our Emergency and Urgent Care Licensed Veterinary Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle urgent emergency cases, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day. The skills that will be utilized include, but are not limited to:
Triage patients
Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging (digital radiographs and Ultrasound)
Assist with all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge, including departmental rounds
Monitoring hospitalized patients, treatments and nursing care
Communicate and educate clients
Physical examinations and patient assessments
Venipuncture/IVC placement
Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications
Cystocentesis, urinary catheter placement and NG tube placement
Inducing, maintaining, and monitoring anesthesia for procedures
Recovering patients from anesthesia
Set-up, monitor, and administer intravenous fluid therapy including constant rate infusions and blood transfusion therapy.
Enter charges for all triage patients and document treatment sheets
Assist in providing clinical support to doctors and other technicians/nurses
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Compensation: Compensation: $25-29 an hour. Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
Shift Differential: We offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe: Shift differential of $2 per hour for weekend shifts.
Schedule: Full-time opportunity. No overnights! We utilize a 3x12 and 4 x 10 hour work week.
