We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant at VCA Tamalpais Animal Hospital you will play a vital role in assisting our veterinarians in providing top-notch care to our beloved animal patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a facility that prioritizes the health, safety, and emotional well-being of both pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Physical examinations and patient assessment

• Anesthesia monitoring

• Surgical preparation and assisting

• Dentistry

• Radiology

• Laboratory work

• Venipuncture

• Catheter placement

• Pharmacy

• Patient recovery

• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals


  • Minimum of 1 year in the veterinary setting

  • Passion for animal care and well-being.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle animals with care and compassion.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.

  • Fear Free Certification is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $19 - $25 / hour.
