VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is seeking a Surgery Liaison to join our Team! VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is a hybrid hospital. We offer specialty services in the area of Surgery, Oncology, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and we offer multiple advanced diagnostic and treatment modalities such as CT.
What is a Surgery liaison? A Surgery Liaison is the contact person who helps bridge the communication connection between the doctor, the client and the hospital team for our surgery department. Their duties will include:
A passion for all thing surgery
Client communication
Provide progress reports,, writing and gathering for discharges, filling prescription meds, while seeking ways to make our clients and their pets feel valued and affirmed.
Patient care, medical record update, reviewing invoicing and billing
The Surgery Liaison will work in tandem with the doctor and staffto ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner as well as maintaining a direct line of communication between the owner and the doctor, ensuring a smooth transition throughout their stay.
The Surgical Liaison is in charge of maintaining communications with the front desk, technicians, and surgical team.
The Surgical Liaison will provide updates and referral letters to the RDVM

Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in veterinary surgical field required
Professional demeanor and appearance, excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive, friendly attitude
Ability to plan, organize, make decisions and communicate effectively
Able to handle multiple tasks at once and enjoys working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
Must be able to interact with all levels of staffing in a professional manner.

Salary dependent on experience $18- $23.00
