Your role and responsibilities:
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to work alongside our Clinical Director.
The focus of the role will be to optimise patient care through the support and development of the clinical team with a focus on the continuous improvement of current best practice protocols.
You will be responsible for line management of a portion of the veterinary team carrying out personal development reviews, implementing CPD plans and promoting engagement.
Your time will be split between our branch practices: Newton Mearns, Hairmyres, Blantyre and our 12 vet Roundhouse Hospital. Regular Rota’d time working between these practices will allow exposure to our host of services including advanced imaging (traveling CT and MRI and advanced ultrasound), advanced surgery, cardiology and physiotherapy. There will be support from certificate holders in surgery: soft tissue and orthopaedic, cardiology, medicine and ECC allowing progression and development of your own clinical skills.
You will work in conjunction with another Lead Vet, group nursing manager, clinical nursing manager and Practice Manger to optimise culture within the practice as well as ensure effective utilisation within each team.

Due to expansion of the veterinary team, we are recruiting a Lead vet position for our practices in the South of Glasgow.
