Job Description:

Localisation: Aimargues (30 minutes from Montpellier), or Haguenau (30 minutes from Strasbourg)

Type of contract: permanent contrat

The Rpyal Canin Digital Technology Lead leverages their deep functional knowledge and understanding of the segment's strategy to work with the segment to identify problems and scalable Digital solutions which deliver value outcomes that meet customer and consumer needs. This includes working closely with both segment leaders and Digital Technology teams globally and in the region(s) to define, prioritise and deliver a portfolio of Digital initiatives to achieve business strategies and goals.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Deep Functional expertise, with internal MARS and external perspectives.

  • Broad understanding of segment and digital strategies, and perspectives on how Digital can impact and enhance segment outcomes.

  • Minimum 4-5 years business/work experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in digital/functional expertise

  • Strong portfolio management skills with familiarity with PPM tools and techniques

  • Able to evaluate technology and process alternatives.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and senior management engagement skills.

  • Strong consultative skills, problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills.

  • Design Thinking skill for ideation

  • Agile and Product Management Skill for solution delivery

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Partner: As a business leader representing Digital Technology, Partners with segment leaders at the global and regional levels to develop business strategies. Accountable for business value creation & Realization via digital products in related functional area at speed and at scale.

  • Product Management: Act as IT Product Manager responsible for the strategic planning and development of Global IT products and solutions. They define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and oversee product development processes. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including architects, development, deployment, and support, to ensure successful product delivery.

  • Portfolio and Governance: Participates in Digital governance and portfolio meetings. Monitors and guides functional portfolio from segment perspective.

  • Strategy development: consults with global and regional segment leaders, plus the insight from industry trend and peer companies to determine strategic business needs from a Digital perspective, providing functional insights and inputs to the strategic planning process for new or existing IT Products.

  • Functional Knowledge: leveraging deep functional knowledge, work with regional segment leaders to identify and define how to improve business performance and new value creation through the Mars Digital Engine with Design Thinking, Agile, Application of Technology & Data, Automation.

  • Idea Definition: with a functional lens, works with Unit Business Partners and segment sponsors to create Idea definitions for new activities with Design Thinking mindset, including clear outcomes scope, approach, and supporting the sponsor to develop the business case.

  • Architecture: Collaborates with Digital Security and Enterprise Architecture to determine if digital solutions exist, are compliant, and which can be reused and maximise scale and minimise redundancy and application proliferation.
