Job Description:

In your role as a Senior Industrial Engineer you will work as a Change Agent on optimizing performance and drive value leadership. The job is to be a “catalyst for change” and you will initiate and drive game-changing workstreams to optimize our cost-to-serve for our customers and support Mars to become a more efficient, agile and lean company.

As a Senior Industrial Engineer, you will play a significant role in the development of our local supply strategies in close collaboration with a vast stakeholder network. The role supports the execution of these strategies, drives operational excellence and establishes a high level of networking to ensure cross fertilization.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Economics

  • 3+ years of experience in Production or Supply Chain roles

  • Knowledge of internal manufacturing and major business processes, FMCG would be a benefit

  • Significant change management experience

  • Understanding of improvement tools as SIXSIGMA, Kaizen, 5S

  • Ability to work cross functionally with Senior Leaders and stakeholders

  • Track record in leading step-change initiatives / Best practice roll out

  • Eager to analyse and inspired by maximizing value

  • Fluent in English

What will be your key responsibilities?

Drive Supply Chain Strategy to Enable Segment Growth/Profit Strategy (1-5 Year Horizon)

Develop and continuously improve the Master Capacity Planning model for the various value streams, including running modes, learning curves and shift patterns through consultation and collaboration with Site Operations Team Develop 5 Year capacity and capability roadmaps for each value stream and communicate supply capabilities and opportunities to all stakeholders Develop proposed equipment & work area layouts, material and people flows, with a mindset to eliminate waste and achieve the sites long term Supply Strategy Support the Site Leadership Team to co-create the Site Master Plan through compilation of site level data Manage conflicting business objectives and provide perspective to Site Leadership Team on optimal supply strategies Ensure that the site manufacturing strategy is aligned with and delivers the site FAB

Investment Management

Develop a rolling 5-year capital investment plan to align with site supply strategies and operational model Manage and administer the S&M capital projects process at RGY site and provide support to Project Engineers and Site Technical Manager to ensure timely execution of annual S&M capital plans. This includes submissions of all small minor projects and liaising with key Site Leads to ensure alignment on the investments Champion the site Safety, Q&FS, SiG 5 year capital roadmaps with support from the Functional Leads and Site Technical Manager to ensure priorities are clear Work collaboratively with Regional IE leads to co-create, submit and gain approval for minor and major capital investment projects related to capacity increase and/or innovation activities Work collaboratively with Engineering Team, Technical Team and Operations Teams to ensure that operational needs are given full consideration when developing future engineering solutions. This includes

review of proposed equipment layouts, operational designs and material & people flow, which impact direct cost elements with a vision towards achieving zero waste

Develop target performance metrics and startup curves for new investments and provide assistance to Site Technical Team and Project Engineers to ensure monitoring and achievement of project startup curves

Supply Excellence Execution and Business Performance Improvement

Conduct capacity and utilization studies and provide insights, data and solutions to increase throughput to alleviate bottlenecks and potential capacity constraints for each value stream on site Coordinate with Supply Planning and Operations Teams to address short term supply risks Develop and drive the 3 Year Productivity Roadmaps specific to each value streams with an aim to improve labour efficiency Develop and drive annual Non Quality Cost (NQC) reductions roadmaps for each value stream Overall responsibility for management of site business KPI’s (COGS, Safety, Quality, Customer Service, TRS, SiG, FATR, etc.) and scorecards

Compile and analyse site performance data periodically and communicate performance against established KPI targets to Site Leadership Team and all stakeholders

Develop and implement additional tools as required to monitor and optimize supply performance

On timely completion of Regional and Global Reporting requirement such as Global Plant Tool Kit

Analyze global benchmarking data and provide insights and information to stakeholders on site on performance improvement opportunities

Support Site Leadership Team to facilitate Global and Regional Site Reviews Own and lead any global performance improvement initiatives on site with close collaboration of regional and global supply community Support Site Leadership Team to facilitate the annual Operational Planning / Replan process

The key challenge of this role is to stand alone on priorities that are best for the site by challenging the mind-set of Site Leadership Team and Associates on the current ways of working
