VCA Animal Hospitals Full Time Kennel/Technician Assistant in Beaverton, Oregon

We are looking for a Kennel/Technician Assistant. This position is responsible for the cleanliness of the hospital and enjoying cleaning is a must. As a Fear Free certified hospital we are looking for an individual as passionate about the cause as we are. We are looking for someone that can work 32-38 hours per week.


Animal care background is desirable, but not required.


  • Cleaning and stocking the hospital is a big part of the job. Must love to clean.

  • Genuinely enjoys working with animals and is able to deal with them even when they are stressed, ill or in pain.

  • Can work unaffected in an environment where dogs are barking.

  • Must be available to work some weekends and holidays to be considered for an animal care attendant position.

  • Physical Effort: Work requires lifting and carrying animals and food bags (will be assisted by other staff members in lifting animals over 50 lbs). Walks or stands for extended periods or time; frequently works in a bent position.

  • Has a strong work ethic and is always looking for the next project to ensure the care of the animals is always seen to.

  • Working conditions: May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animal feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.
